Women, we have to support women.

Women, we have to support women.

Women have fought so many battles.

Women are still fighting so many battles.

There has been amazing success for women however, even though we are in 2017 and in such an advanced society, women are still not at the position they deserve. The patriarchal society still exists.

It is a massive issue that women and men do not have equality and that women are frequently made to seem inadequate compared to men. So the fight will continue, the fight for equality is happening right before my eyes. Slowly, progression is being made.

Slowly isn't good enough though. It isn't good enough for me. It isn't good enough for anyone.

Equality is something I think about everyday, I can't escape it because of the word I am living in today. I would be a fool to ignore what is happening. So I think about equality, I think about why men and women are not equal and why there is only slow progress.

And I realise that women are one of the hinderances to the movement.

Women not supporting other women.

How does that even make sense? That women don't support other women?? You know when you laugh because you're angry? That's me right now.

Women are constantly putting other women down, a lot of the time it's about their sex life.

I see more women call strippers 'thots', 'hoes' and any other names, more than men. We already have a society that is moulded to support men more than women, we are trying to remould this society to support men and women equally but this cannot happen when women are working against one another.

It is ridiculous that a woman could be putting another woman down, more than a man does. I mean it sounds ridiculous but it happens all the time.

Whenever the topic of 'bodycounts' is being debated I always point out that whilst some men may have the preference of being with someone who has a certain 'bodycount', which is perfectly fine - it is fine to have a preference, the issue is when men start judging and discrediting a woman for having a certain 'bodycount'. This is a valid point that most people can agree with, however when I recently made this point I was told that a lot of women are judging women the way men are.

I really had to think about this and deep how true that is. How women are judging other women for the choices they make in their life. There has been so much progress that allows women to make the choices they do, but when women are judging one another, we may as well be undoing all the progression made.

Women, we have to support women. How do we expect this patriarchal society to support us and have equality amongst everyone if we cannot support one another?

How can we fight for a cause but internally go against everything we say? It's hypocritical and it needs to stop.

We can do so much if we all worked together. So let's work together by supporting one another and create a society that is equal for me and women.

We deserve so much but we are a hinderance to ourselves if we continue to act the way we do now.

Let's empower others.
