Our New Project! #STG

Our New Project! #STG

Welcome to the introduction of our latest project from QuenelleAshley Blogs!

As you can see from the cover of the blog, Support The Grind is the name of our project and it is all about bringing support to the creative community. This project is one that is quite personal to me and close to my heart because I see how the creative community isn't always as supportive as it could be. I've been working on this for about 2 years so a lot has gone into this project and I hope it will succeed!

When I first started blogging, getting support was the hardest thing ever. I wasn't too sure about how I should promote my work - like am I doing this right? Should I spam everyone with the links to my blogs or should I just put the link on Twitter? As I got more into blogging and learnt more about promoting my work, I found out about blogging communities, which are quite easy to find, they're quite accessible. Within the blogging communities you can get follow trains which allows you to follow other bloggers and for them to follow you. Although this sounds great, it's not 100% great because not all of these people engage with you and not everyone will support you, so it can kinda be a bit difficult and can also demotivate you.

In addition to that, I feel like sometimes different creative fields don't always support one another. For examples, musicians not working with bloggers. Blogs can do so much for people, the exposure they can bring is crazy and most bloggers will probably do it for free but a lot of people turn them down or ignore them. Again, this is quite demotivating and the lack of support can cause people to stop what they're doing.

We have created the blog series 'Support The Grind' (#STG) in order to inspire upcoming creatives and to bring support to the creative world. This will be an on-going project of weekly interviews with different creatives. Our aim is to show people what the creative field is like and that in fact, the support is there.

QuenelleAshley Blogs is a huge supporter of the creative community and would like to how everyone that creatives can be supportive. The aim of this blog series is to start the conversation about creatives and support and hopefully patch up the gaps of no support.

Our first post will be out on Friday 8th July! This can be found on Support The Grind, we will be posting every Friday so make sure you follow us on all our social media platforms to keep up to date!

If you would like to be interviewed for the blog series, or would like us to interview specific people, then please follow our Be a Contributor page!
